The ZignX Operating Panel (OP) module can be used for adding secure, flexible, and convenient access control to both new or in-use operating panels. Once the ZignX OP module is installed it requires the user to identify him self before the operating panel is activated.

The optional ZignX OP module is a circuit board connected to one of the utility ports on the ZignX Medical unit. The OP module holds a large number of I/O ports, each configurable to monitor and control switches, buttons, or keyboard on an operating panel.

The ZignX Medical unit and the ZignX OP module is mounted next to, or directly integrated with the operating panel. This can be done as a wall-mount or cabinet-mount version both up to IP65 classification approved.

The integration of the OP module is achieved by fitting electrical components, e.g. latches, relays, optocouplers, to the operating panel. The integration process is done without changing any of the functionality on the operating panel, leaving the system 100% intact and without visual change to the user.

The wide variety of operating panels and individual customer demands means fitting the OP module must be customized in each customer case.
